Masan Yongma High School pitcher Jang Hyun-seok has joined forces with the Los Angeles Dodgers to challenge the American stage.
“Masan Yongma High School pitcher Jang Hyun-seok signed a contract with Major League Baseball (MLB)’s Los Angeles Dodgers today (Sept. 9) worth $900,000 (approximately 1.18 billion won),” Jang’s management company, Ricoh Agency, announced.
The Dodgers are one of the most familiar franchises to Korean fans, having played for Park Chan-ho and Ryu Hyun-jin in the past. Recently, the Dodgers made a move to acquire Jang Hyun-seok in an international signing bonus trade with the Chicago White Sox.
Jang said, “I am honored to join the prestigious LA Dodgers. I will work hard to become a better player as they have chosen me,” he said.안전놀이터
Meanwhile, Jang Hyun-seok’s press conference to join the Dodgers will be held at the Seoul Dragon City Hotel on April 14.
