Bang will compete in the Sangsangin-Korea Economic TV Open on the Korean Ladies Professional Golf (KLPGA) Tour at Lakewood Country Club (Par 72) in Yangju, Gyeonggi-do, starting on Sept. 19. Lakewood CC is home to the KLPGA Championship, where Bang made a name for herself. Bang finished 40th in last year’s KLPGA Tour Seeding Rankings and missed the first five events of the season. It wasn’t until the KLPGA Championship in April that she made her tour debut. Up until that point, Bang was a virtual unknown.
However, in her debut, she captivated fans from day one. With his cool, long drives of over 300 yards, Bangsinsil racked up eight birdies on the first day to share the lead. Although she didn’t win, she drew crowds throughout the tournament and earned the nickname “Longest Hitter Queen.안전놀이터
After winning her first career title at the E1 Charity Open in May, Bang’s form slowed down, but she picked up the pace again at the Dongbu E&C-Korea Land Trust Championship, which concluded on May 15, where she picked up her second win of the season.
The reason Bang is one of the favorites to win this tournament is because Lakewood CC is a course that is very favorable to long hitters. The wide fairways and long greens are perfect for her long game and high trajectory iron shots.
Lee Ye-won will be the favorite to deny Bang a third win of the season. Lee leads the money list, points list, stroke average, and wins list and will be looking for her fourth win of the season. Lee Da-yeon, who held off a late charge from Bang to win the KLPGA Championship on the same course, and Kim Min-byul and Hwang Yoo-min, who are first and second in the Rookie of the Year race, are other favorites.
