When will the ‘golden news’ begin?
The 2022 Hangzhou Asian Games will open on the 23rd. It will be the first Asian Games in five years to be held beyond the COVID-19 pandemic since the 2018 Jakarta-Palembang Asian Games. The Games will kick off with the gold medal race on the 24th, the day after the opening ceremony.
The Taeguk Warriors’ gold medal parade will also begin on the 24th. The “golden days” for the Korean team to win gold are evenly distributed throughout the Games, and gold news could come as early as the 24th. The Korean team has a maximum target of 50 gold medals.
