Korea U-16 Basketball Team advances to Round of 12 PO at Asian Championships…loses to Jordan to finish ‘third in group’

The South Korea U-16 Men’s National Basketball Team fell to Jordan at the Asian Men’s Basketball Championship.

The Koreans fell to Jordan 59-62 in the third game of their Group C matchup at Al Rayyan Indoor Hall in Doha, Qatar on Nov. 19 (ET).

With a 1-2 record, South Korea finished third in the group and advanced to the Round of 12 playoffs (PO). They must win against Group D runner-up Philippines on Nov. 21 to advance to the quarterfinals.

South Korea trailed 37-44 at halftime. But in the third quarter, they went on an offensive tear, holding Jordan to just four points and tied the game at 48-48. At the start of the fourth quarter, Yoon Ji-hoon and Kim Min-jae hit back-to-back three-pointers to make it 56-50.온라인바카라

South Korea led 58-57 with 33 seconds left in the game, but fouled out, giving their opponent two free throws. Jordan missed the second free throw, but got the rebound and scored under the basket to make it 58-60.

South Korea missed a chance to tie the game with 22 seconds left in regulation when Eddie Daniel got two free throws but only made one.
