Rosenthal “Mets owner Cohen will have a hard time passing on Ohtani”…”Dodgers and Mets end up in a two-game series”

Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic claims that Shohei Ohtani will end up with either the Los Angeles Dodgers or the New York Mets.

“The Dodgers have been known for a long time to be the team to get Ohtani,” Rosenthal said on the Foul Territory podcast, according to Bleacher Report on Sunday, “and you can’t rule out the Mets. I don’t think (owner) Steve Cohen is going to pass on Ohtani.”

In August, Rosenthal noted that it was current Mets general manager Billy Eppler who originally signed Ohtani when he was with the Angels from 2015 to 2020.

Eppler took over as GM of the Mets in 2021. He is known for not being afraid to spend big money.메이저놀이터

However, according to Jim Bauden of The Athletic, Ohtani is more focused on the possibility of winning a championship. The Dodgers have been considered a World Series contender almost every year for the past decade. They won the World Series in 2020. The Mets haven’t won a championship since 1986 and missed the playoffs this season.

Ohtani’s move to the Dodgers seems to be weighing in.
